Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall – Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall,Sun Yat Sen Nanyang is a state memorial that narrates the story of bravery, nationalism and the Chinese revolution coalition military struggle in South East Asia.Previously it is known as the Wan Qing Yuan meaning a shelter of peace in the twilight years. The memorial hall is the head office for Chinese revolutionary alliance which bolstered support over the entire South East Asia for revolution that terminated the rule of the Qing dynasty and started the process of creating modern China.

The stylish colonial style villa has a garden with a number of sculptures. It also has a stone stele that stands tall at a height of 3.5 meters and weighs around 16 tons in weight. Also there is a statue of Dr. Sun Yat sen in bronze and a mural that is 25 meter long.

The two level of gallery comprises of A peace hall History passage Endeavour gallery The Nanyang Gallery Passage through the Eras The Singapore Gallery The Testament Gallery,The hall is opened from 9am to 5 pm on Tuesday to Sunday. On Saturdays it is opened from 10 am to 10 pm The hall is closed on Mondays.

The admission fee is SGD 2 for each person.The approximate tour duration is 2 hours.

How to get there? You can take a MRT to Toa Payoh (NS19) and embark on SBS 139 AND 145 .You can land at the third bus stop after the Toa Payoh Bus interchange. Otherwise you can take SBS 21 and 131 from the Thomson road which is just opposite to the (NS 20) and land at the Balestier road opposite to the Moulmein community centre.
